Expected September weather: With September we enter a new season and Spring! Slightly warmer temperatures, longer days and a change in the air. We’re also entering into the Spring Equinox with the potential for wild, windy weather in the mix so it’s a good idea to still have plenty of back-up days planned in your trip. September is one of those months where anything can happen. There will most likely be snow on the surrounding high mountain peaks and on the ground in south facing areas. There may be snow in some lower areas but if there is  it’s typically either slushy and muddy. September can bring some lovely spring days with blue skies and pretty backdrops as well as random big snow events.
