The Best Queenstown Elopement Locations — Accessed by Helicopter
Queenstown sits at the edge of some of the most dramatic alpine terrain in the world. We’ve spent years exploring it by helicopter, on foot, and in every weather condition imaginable — and what we’ve built is a carefully selected collection of landing locations that most people never get to see.
From a five-minute flight to a clifftop above Lake Wakatipu, to a twenty-five minute journey deep into the Southern Alps, every location we use has been personally scouted and chosen by Scott for its photographic potential, its sense of remoteness, and its ability to make your elopement feel genuinely unlike anything else.
How our locations work
All locations are accessed by private helicopter with our trusted local pilots. Flight times range from five minutes for our closest alpine spots, to around twenty-five minutes for our deepest Southern Alps landings. On the day, Scott directs the flight based on weather, wind, and conditions — which means the location that’s perfect for your elopement is chosen with full knowledge of what will look best and what’s safe to access.
We organise everything. You just show up.
What kind of locations can we land at?
Queenstown elopement locations in our collection include alpine peaks, glacial lakes, hidden tarns, dramatic ridgelines, schist rock outcrops, and remote river valleys. Some are well known. Many are secret spots that Scott has discovered and never published — places that don’t appear on any map or travel guide.
