It’s all the intangibles and special touches that make a difference – from a bag of lollies for the pilot in the camera bag, to a handy sewing kit for an emergency repair on the mountain. We even have a large selection of vintage and designer fur jackets available for brides to use free of charge on the day to keep you toasty (and still stylish) on the mountain. You’ll receive honest, practical advice, referrals and we can help with ideas for places to go and things to do for the rest of your holiday.

We are a small family business, a husband (Scott – photo) and wife (Melissa – plans and editing) team. We have long-standing relationships and work with a small hand-picked, exclusive team of independent vendors who make up the Sunshine family. They’re all highly experienced, amazing at their job and bloody good humans. We’ll bring your elopement support crew together so on the day, you’ll feel like part of the family too.
We’re Scott and Melissa — a husband and wife team who’ve been planning and photographing Queenstown mountain elopements for nearly 15 years. Scott flies around in helicopters taking incredible photos (and still can’t believe he gets to call it a job). Melissa runs everything behind the scenes — the planning, the organising, and keeping Scott on schedule. We’re a small operation by choice, working with a tight-knit group of hand-picked vendors we genuinely love. When you book with us, you know exactly who you’re getting — and we’ll make sure your day is as stress-free and unforgettable as it should be.

I came across Sunshine Weddings on Instagram and right from the first enquiry Melissa was beyond helpful and informative. Coming from AUS, i expected alot of back and forth however Melissa made the whole process SO incredibly easy, stress free. Nothing was ever too much, I chose to add extras mid way through our contract and it was a breeze!
The day of our wedding we had such a wonderful time with Scott, nothing was too much, we had so much fun!
We received our photos so quickly (& so many!!) gorgeous quality, our ceremony video is more than we could’ve ever imagined.
