Sunshine is
Sunshine is Scott/pics and Melissa/plans – a husband/wife, Aussie/kiwi team. We’re not young hipsters or coffee snobs and if Scott still had a beard it would have some silver fox vibes. Over the years we’ve done plenty of interesting things and now have a 13 year old who we hope does not do some of those things. She’s somehow turned out to be way more interesting and cooler than both of us and is pretty handy with a camera too (that’s her in the pic above). We have four small scruffy dogs, still like each other (even after 16 years of marriage) and love what we do, so life is good.
Scott (photographer)
Scott is the Sunshine photographer and videographer. He’s also a total camera geek. His video career started as a fresh and shiny young skydiver and camera-op. A career that took him all over the world before deciding New Zealand was home. After a few years working in tourism, videoing weddings large and small (and winning a few pretty fancy awards along the way), he discovered the joys of still photography. So now he flies around in helicopters to unbelievable locations, meeting interesting new people, taking incredible photos and gets to call it a job. All the adjectives.
Melissa (planner and editor)
Melissa is the Sunshine introvert so is happy doing the behind the scenes stuff – emails, organising everyone (including Scott) and then post-production and editing. She’s also a qualified designer and artist and runs our other business at the same time – a gallery and design store in our home town a little south of Queenstown. It doubles as the Sunshine office, just one surrounded by lots of beautiful NZ art!

We work with a small, hand-picked group of vendors who we absolutely love, some have been working with us for over 13 years now! Not only are they the best vendors in Queenstown, they’re all good humans who will look after you well (and don’t mind a bit of a laugh too).
