Lake Hope is a bit of a secret spot and one of our new favourites. Nestled on the back side of The Remarkables, this alpine lake is surrounded by shale-covered slopes with glacial green-blue water. It offers lots of photo opportunities from all angles. An ideal location for couples wanting a remote mountain-lake location and the short flight distance means it’s very budget-friendly.

The lake does freeze over the winter months creating a snow and ice-filled natural amphitheatre so is better suited to summer months, or a good place to potentially find  snow in the shoulder seasons.
