FLIGHT TIME: 10-15 MINUTES FROM QUEENSTOWN AIRPORT

Our Hidden Gems landings include some of our favourite elopement locations within a 10-15 minute helicopter flight out of Queenstown. Vanguard Peak to the north has 360 degree mountain views which glow gold in summer or shimmer with snow in winter. Skippers has views over the iconic Shotover River or nestle into Moonlight Creek for a river-side ceremony surrounded by native bush.

Fly south to Mt Crichton and Big Geordie for epic views across Lake Wakatipu and the wryly named Pig Island to the higher peaks of the Southern Alps. Lake Isobel and Lake Hope are small alpine lakes filled with blue glacial waters which come to life in the shoulder seasons when partially frozen.
