Wow, what a stunner of a day for this Queenstown elopement. Katasha and Tristan had a perfect spring day for their wedding with two landings. Both landings were ‘off the beaten track’ spots and not the usual helicopter elopement locations. Scott’s favourite thing is to explore the mountains so has discovered all sorts of secret gem landings, nice and private with totally unique views. (It’s why it pays to go with old hands who have been flying and shooting in these mountains for years and know them like the back of their hands).

The first spot on Cecil Peak Station had cracking views over Lake Wakatipu, the second was nestled in the mountains surrounded by craggy peaks and a giant amphitheatre of snow. And full respect for the bride doing snow angels in a backless dress!
