FLIGHT TIME: 5-10 MINUTES FROM QUEENSTOWN AIRPORT
Close to Queenstown / Cecil Peak Ledge
Cecil Peak Ledge is on the north side of Cecil Peak with views over the town and up Lake Wakatipu toward Glenorchy. The Ledge has high cliff-edges and rocky outcrops to make for dramatic photos. The terrain is relatively easy to walk around with large flat areas of rock and tussock but with some areas of high, treacherous drop-offs, it’s not recommended for young children (ask us about other child-friendly landings). And watch out for Wild Spaniard with it’s sharp, spiking leaves! Being north-facing it warms up and loses snow earlier in winter than other landings.
